The Seven Day Diet is a fad that continues to circulate despite being very unbalanced. This diet is a simple 7 day plan that emphasizes a different food group each day. The origin of this diet is unknown.
This diet is nothing short of ridiculous and should not even be considered as a viable option for weight loss. It is very unbalanced and very low in calories. AVOID.
Monday
Eat as much fruit (and juices) as you wish of any fruits, except bananas.
Tuesday
Eat all of the vegetables (and vegetable soup) that you wish.
Wednesday
A combination of Monday & Tuesday (i.e. fruit - except bananas, juices, vegetables, vegetable soups).
Thursday
Eat 5 bananas and drink 5 glasses of whole milk. Some versions say 8 bananas and 4 glass of milk.
Friday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each - beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.
Saturday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each - beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.
Sunday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each - beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.

Day 2, went very well. Ive noticed when you are confined to eating only a few certain things you tend to not eat as much. But i have decided that i actually might like veggies more than fruit witch i thought was never possible. So not only has this diet got me to eat better it has made me eat things i normaly wouldnt eat and found that i like it. Still going for it! Already down 2 lbs.
I’ve been on this diet a number of times and the only time it did not work was when i did NOT FOLLOW IT CORRECTLY. No, it’s not the healthiest way to lose weight, but for those of us who like fast results, like myself, its good. After finishing it, I had no cravings for all the junk i used to eat. My skin looked better and I actually felt ‘healthier’. I think it detoxes as well… kind of like a rehab for drugs that used to be the junk food. Yes, it can be uncomfortable, but any diet that promotes eating antioxidant- rich fruits and vegetables can’t be all that bad. I wouldn’t exercise during it though - the body needs time to adapt to drastic diet changes, and it is possible to feel sick at first.
So im on my first day and am already craving anything thats not fruit. Im not a big veggie fan but cant wait till tomarrow to eat somting different. Dosent look so good but im going to keep it up.
… and also, if you are already not too overweight did you find that you still lost a decent amount of weight? I’m only a few kgs off the weight that I want to be so maybe this is why I’m not losing the weight/size? Any comments?
Well all-in-all I’ve not been hungry on this diet, but have found myself reaching for the kids biscuits once or twice in 5 days. I’m on day 5 now and depending on when I weigh myself durnig the day I’ve lost about 2.5kgs in 5 days. On the Steak & Veges day today and am rather concerned that the amount of steak I will be consuming over the next two days will bump my weight up not keep bringing it down. I have found that blending all the soup ingredients together in blender or bullet makes the soup WAY EASIER to drink as it’s a puree as opposed to a watery soup with lumpy bits of veges in it. The pureed version is much easier to spice up and add flavour to as well. I have been exercising every second day - walking 5kms and burning off 500 calories… I do feel lighter but my clothes aren’t fitting any better or anything. I’ve never been a believer that this diet just makes you lose water weight as you are drinking so much every day, but that’s what I’m beginning to think. Has anyone lost any noticeable inches? Not just weight - but actually lost size???
Ive tried a 7 day diet similar like this before, and it really did work! i lost 10 pounds and my jeans felt great! But ever since i stopped playing softball ive put on some weight, some 14lbs!!! and my clothes just doesnt look as good as it did before.
Im going to start this diet, im hoping to loose at least 8lbs!

Ive done a diet like this before, and i really did loose weight, i lost upto 9 pounds! I thought it was going to work simply because i felt full alot of the time, for those who have fainted i think their not eating enough of what ever is being suggested, i really enjoyed it!

Just after christmas i went on a diet of waking up in the morning and having a cup of coffee then around 12pm if i was hungry i wud eat a bannana an then at 4.30pm i would eat a grilled chicken breast and either salad or veg with it and i lost 2stone 7lb in two months. Am back on this diet now as i went to my doctor for a tummy tuck and i saw the surgeon an he said if i loose a stone by my next appointment then i will be having a tummy tuck. wish me luck. My next appointment is the 22nd December 08

drank plenty of water, lots fruit and my soup!!! i feel a little bloated around my stomach but im going to stick with it!!! today i did have some almonds and seeds does any one know if this will effect my wieght loss? im so worried that this diet wont work for me and ill be worse !!!! well heres hoping !!!
Havent tried this diet, however the 3 day diet works, I’ve done it at twice and lost 7 pounds both times. Seems a lot easier, worth trying.
I tried this diet while I was in high school. The first time I tried it i lost about 4lbs but I had cheated and didnt follow the meal well. So I tried it again to do it right, & by Thursday I felt really sick and bloated…and I figured it was from not getting enough substance in my body. So I stopped on Thursday b/c I felt miserable, but I lost 10 in four days…even after I had 2 poptarts and a ice cream bar…it is a quick weight loss diet, but not a very healthy one…just be careful!

i tried this diet before i went from 135 to 128 doing this.but on my first 4 days i barley ate.like a bite or 2 of what ever it is im eating that day at each meal.but then after all that starving i started going hungry and got many cravings and gained everything back!!so i wanna start again starting tomarrow OCTober 13 2008!i wanna lose 10 to 15 pounds before halloween.ill keep u posted =D
This diet does work as i lost 3 stone after giving birth to my first child. If done properly it really does work.
I’ve been pretty strict, but my boyfriend made me eat some popcorn at the movies, do you think i’ll still lose the weight? i’m on the third day and I feel skinnier, but you know i’m at boarding school, so yeah i don’t have a scale to tell! If you guys have any advice or any others diet suggestions, clue me in! And anyone who says “go on a real diet”, this is the diet all of my model friends do, and since that’s what i want to do with my life, i’m sticking to THEIR advice.

end of my 5th day…no weight loss in 2 days…..I lost 3 lbs in 5 days…not too happy. I had a total of 1 tomato & steak, then I had steak & cabbage soup. So, today I started the 3 day diet. Let us see what that brings.
I started my diet today, so far so good i have been eating lots of fruit all day. And when I get hungry I drink a glass of water..
I will keep posting to see if i see any results when i am done with the diet.

I am on my 5th day. this is the first time I am having chicken(boiled) on this day.till now I lost 1.5 kgs.
Oct 4th- end of 3rd day.
I lost another 1 pound. So, I’ve lost a total of 3 lbs in 3 days. I feel wonderful! I have started my 4th day of bananas & skim milk. I’ve mixed 3cups of skim milk & added 5 bananas in a blender to make a shake or smoothie…taste pretty good. Also, I had some cabbage as well. So, let’s see what happens. OH TOMORROW-steak & tomatoes. I have my steak thawing out…mmmmmm-can’t wait.

I lost another 1 pound. So, I’ve lost a total of 2 pounds in 2 days. I had all veggies & cabbage soup on my 2nd day. Still feeling strong. I will be doing my bananas & skim milk tomorrow.

My day two went well with lots of vegetables. I even had 1 potato. I’ve lost another 1 pound. So, in 2 days I’ve lost 2lbs. I am now starting my 3rd day. I’ve had fruits for breakfast- grapes, grapefruit & strawberries. Today is fruits & vegetables. I am feeling pretty strong and we will see what the rest of day 3 will bring.

Oct 2, 2008-First day is over lost 1 pound. I ate a lot of fruits. I had at least 8cups of water. When I felt hungry, I would eat more fruits and drink water. I am feeling pretty good. I am now starting my 2nd day of veggies…wow I’ve eaten corn on cob & cabbage for breakfast. I am now snacking on cucumbers. I will be posting tomorrow.

i started this diet today. so far i had soup and fruits… u knoe, the more soup you eat the more you loose… because the soup is a calorie burner..
i am gonna go to the gym to do a 2 mile jog/walk. wish me luck. hope i dont faint. lol i weight 220 pounds… i wanna loose atleast 40 before i go back to college in a month… wish me luck!

I’m on day 3 of the cabbage soup diet and I’ve notice my clothes fit a lot better. Tomorrow there’s a lunch reunion at the office. I really hope I can survive. Need a lot of support!

I am really thinking about giving this a try - it sounds pretty interesting! If I did the 7 day diet one week and then ate salads the next week just to off set it a little do you that would be ok? do the 7 day diet every other week?
hi guys, just letting you know im onto my last day on this diet and i have lost 3kgs. i have also cheated by eating some chocolate and drinking some coke but i still have lost weight. i think its a good diet and everyone should give it a go but also it doesnt work for everyone. my friend also did it and has not lost any weight but like i said it doesnt work for everyone but i still believe you should give it a go!
im going to start this diet tommorow. I had a progran that iwas following before, i lost weight but i put all of it back. Im so desperate to lose weight i hope this one will work.

this is my 2nd time on this… lost 8 pounds 1st week so im happy with the results. I’m on day one of seven… will post results! good luck to all doing this diet and for the ones thinking about doing it TRY IT. one thing i did that i think as helped me with the soup is that i blended it and drank it like a v-8. worked better for me that way so if u dont like eating it try blending it til smooth and drink it.
I am on day 7, I lost only 3 kg’s till now i.e nearly 7lbs. Here a lot of people r saying theyhave lost 10 lbs to 15 lbs. Please let me know what should i eed to do to loose that much.

Hi guys…well am gonna start this diet tomorrow.. am excited n i hope it works. I weight 140 right now n my goal is to weight 130 b 4 my b-day. I have already lost 10pounds with exercising and i am wanting to loose 10more.. i still have 3 more weeks b 4 my birthday. I dnt normally do diets..uh.. y.. well cuz i dnt stick to it, but am i will cuz i really want to loose ten more pounds. I will keep yall posted on how i do so wish me luck…
