Slim For Life is the latest book from Jillian Michaels, personal trainer on the television program “The Biggest Loser”.

She promised herself she wouldn’t write another diet book. But then, over the last few years, she realized that there was a need for a clear and straightforward plan.

Jillian Michaels wants to make it easy for you to “cut through all the crap, apply the advice, and get the results you want.” In Slim For Life she offers readers simple tips and tricks for losing weight and keeping it off.

Michaels recommends high intensity circuit training, which involves a combination of cardio and strength exercises. In this approach you perform vigorous activity alternating with periods of light activity or rest.

This type of exercise burns calories while you work out as well as after the exercise is over. If you incorporate weight training into your routine you will also boost your metabolism.

Consistency is the key and ideally you should work out every day. But in the very least you should do some form of exercise 4 to 6 times a week.
