Herbalife is a company founded in 1980 which sells Herbalife products for weight-loss and health through multi-level marketing (MLM) distributorships. The weight loss program called ShapeWorks™, and associated weight-loss products, are reviewed here.
Also available from Herbalife distributors are targeted health/nutrition products (specifically for heart, digestion, stress, men, women, etc, as well as skin, hair, fragrances etc). They recently released a line of their best workout supplements called 24 Hour Fitness Support.
Herbalife Weight Loss Program – ShapeWorks™
The ShapeWorks™ program is available for weight loss or weight maintenance in several variations (‘quickstart’, ‘advanced‘, ‘ultimate’, and with each of these ‘protein plus’), at regular prices ranging from $US85 to $US210 (discounted prices are available). The program personalizes daily protein intake for your body’s individual needs, with the aim that you feel full, satisfied and energized as you lose your unwanted weight. Included is a seven-day recommended meal plan.

Is ShapeWorks™ suitable for everyone?
Weight loss programs like this, while effective for many, are not necessarily suitable for all. Although the program supplies at least 1000 calories daily and is nutritionally complete, there is a heavy reliance on Herbalife powders and pills. The suggested rate of weight loss (up to 3.5Kg/7½ pounds weekly) is too high for most people to sustain. In addition, reliance on a specific product does not teach healthy, lifelong eating habits. Maintaining a successful healthy lifestyle is a long-term thing that extends beyond the program itself, so you need to continue lifelong habits of good nutrition, fitness, and exercise.

hi want to use herbalife but i am doubleminded now plz help me to take desion
This is what I am having currently:
Breakfast: 1 spoon of formula 1, 300ml of milk/soymilk
Lunch: Normal (but I try to cut down on rice/noodle etc)
Dinner: 1.5 spoon of formula 1, 300ml of milk/soymilk

If I have a shake morning and lunch times, made with fruit juice and frozen berries, for dinner il have a healthy meal with lots of veg, and ill have 2 snacks a day, a yogurt or fruit. Ill have between 2-3 litres of water a day. I only take the powder for weight loss, no othesupplements. I will try walk 1hour a day and am starting ’30 day shred’, my question iscan I lose 14 pounds in 9 days?
Hi I am currently on day 5 of herbalife products and doing ok, only prob is tiredness is this ok and does it get better i have read reviews and people have said that they feel more energetic, I am yet to feel this.

You have to use the F1 powder with the protein drink mix. This is the only way I feel full. Plus it took me 2-3 weeks to get used to drinking shakes and not eating (munching) on meals. My brain wanted me to eat more bc I was used to chewing food not slurping down a shake. I have been doing herbalife now for 6 weeks and it is so easy now. I crave the shakes now and I stay full.
Lauren, in your shake, you should be having 2 tablespoons of shake or 35 g. You are also allowed two snacks, so something like a piece of fruit and then a herbalife protein snack bar or almonds. For dinner, make sure you are getting enough protein and then lots of veg. Add some wholegrain carbs like brown rice if you feel you need it. Give your body a few days to adjust to its new level of calories. I felt hungry for the first week and eventually my body adjusted. Hunger is ok! Also, dont forget the old trick of getting lots of water, hunger and thrist are often confused by the body. Best of luck!
you have to make your shakes as thick as possible, use banans,ice,berries peanut butter,or berries
Hi, I started herbalife 2 days ago and I’m really struggling with it. The shakes don’t fill me up at all. I’m not taking any of the vitamins etc as that plan was much more expensive and I cannot afford it. So my plan is 250ml milk with 2 tbsp of the F1 powder for breakfast and lunch and then a healthy dinner. During the day I still feel so hungry and I’m really trying not to give in! Also in the evening I feel like snacking. Has anyone got any advice?
You must add protein to your shakes i cant stress enpugh on how important protein is in your diet. Protein will he. lp u feel full longer and also adding my suggestion, fiber powder to the shake. Water water water and more water nothing else. And high protein low carb low fat fish/chicken and not farmed raised fish no omega 3 peppers onions garlic and veggies an fruit n exercise 3 to 4 times a week and in 5 mouths i lost 55 pound s 250 to 195. Everyonesdfferent but are bodies all require the same things nutriention wise. Keep your head up
I started a couple days ago and I too am struggling! My daughter has used and is currently using this diet and I just told her that I am hungrier than before starting the diet. I also could not afford the other plan supplements so I am not sure of what to do

speak to your Herbalife coach for the information you need. It is possible to lose 5kg in a week if you don’t cheat. Look at what you are putting in your healthy meal and check how much water you are drinking. I lost 5kg in a week. Have you checked your measurements against what they were when you started as I have lost 40cm of body fat overall and can now do my jeans up. Good luck and stick with it.

I’ve read up about rice in diets, and it’s not that eating rice makes you lose less weight, it’s the time of day in which you eat the rice.
Rice is a complicated carb, and takes more energy for it to break down. I’m not an expert on it really, but my advice would be to have the meal with rice in the morning only.
I’ve been on diets before, and it really does make a difference at what time of day you eat the rice. I noticed I loose 4-5 lbs more a month from eating rice (with diets that include rice) in the morning than in the afternoon or at dinner time.
I’m 149 lbs at 5’6″, and I still eat rice in the morning (instead of cereal)

I’ve also done Herballife before, I recommend both, they both work

Honestly, keep doing the diet, just start to walk or even lift weights (and by weights, I mean cans of soup). It could just be because you need to become more active– and if you are already active, be MORE active.
I used to promote body by Vi and the biggest challenge people had was once they stopped losing weight, they’d stop the diet, even though they still had a month left– people who stuck it out started losing weight again.
Remeber in every diet, there will be a point in which you will see a dramatic decrease in the speed where you lose weight.
And if it’s inch loss, you’re doing everything right. Your body is building muscle at this point in the diet while burning fat. Kepp it up sounds like your doing really well

How often should we drink the aloe? I’ve been doing it 2x a day (breakfast and lunch) and is it necessary to take a multivitamin too lose weight?
I joined it 1 month ago…The guys are only after my money…The leader is only after one’s pocket…no body guided me properly n i messed up all, ultimately resulting in no weight loss…I have lost my faith in it ,,,n now i think other then exercise, nothing ultimately matters…So guys if u r planning to throw money in it, take time…it does not work equally on everyone…
It is unfortunate that you weren’t guided properly but it is not fair of you to say that Herbalife does not work. It does work when done properly. Yes the distributors do make money off of selling it but there is a reason Herbalife has been around for over 30 years….because it works.
It won’t work equally for everyone, that is true, and it sounds like whoever has shown you Herballife never was on the product.
My best suggestion for you is to find a new representative or promoter.
Whoever you were with needs to be retrained.
And yeah, anyone can lose weight- with this product or not as long as they exercise.
I have been on herbalife for 9 days and have lost 5 kilos………all i can say is AMAZING!!! Every female, whether they are large, medium or small have issues about their body image. I have exercised and eaten healthy for years, but still have struggled with keeping my extra weight off completely. Currently i am on the Ultimate regime. Morning: 3 cap fulls of Aloe Vera in a glass of water, all 5 vitamins with another glass of water, Dutch Choc Shake ( 2 scoops with 150ml milk &150ml water or 3/4 milk to 1/4 water depending on how im feeling), and 1 cup of the herbalife tea. Morning tea: 1 cup of green tea and water ( i am unable to eat due to my job, but i am hungry by lunch lol). Afternoon: 5 vitamins with a glass of water, Shake (2 scoops, with 1/2 water & 1/2 milk) and a cup of the herbalife tea. Afternoon tea: handful of almonds and a large apple with a cup of herbalife tea. Dinner: Veg and Protein with a small amount of rice OR pasta with a glass of water. Evening before bed: a cup of herbalife tea. I also do exercise 3-4 times a week.I cant wait to see my results at the end of my first month. This is a lifestyle change NOT A FAD!! I feel fantastic, healthy and energetic. All i can say to those on herbalife who are not seeing results is, be honest with yourself, are you being strict enough? Make sure you stay motivated, i read herbalife testimonials to help me stay on track.

I have just started on herbalife. For my lifestyle, I can only do my shakes morning and night. Lunch I eat salad or fish. Is this still effective to loose weight?
Of course it is!! Your controlling your calorie intake of two meals and eating healthy the other. Fish and salad is a perfect meal for dinner (Get the protein in you!) have you tried having a protein bar along with thermogenic tea for mid morning and/or mid afternoon snacks? They’re great!!

Hi Rugia, I have not tried any slimming products before until i met one not to mention it here but what i think is that you need to find one which really is healthy dieting and of cause you need to exercise in order to see good results.
Herbalife works, infact Herbalife works very well. I am a personal trainer that signed up to be a distributor so i could control clients nutritional needs as well as there training. One client of mine has lost over 2stone 6pounds in 4months all being fat, her fat percentage has droped by 10% even as she is getting lighter! This particular client is a spin instructor so have always been fit and active but still couldnt shift them unwanted pounds! With my plans i work on a breakfast – snack – dinner – snack (all herbalife products) – Evening meal (Large piece meat and veg) When my clients gets to their desirable weight i start to ween them off the products so they dont get that crash diet effect when you come off them.
Hey! I’ve been on Herbalife for 5 days now and so far (I weighed myself yesterday morning) I lost 1.5kg. My plan is:
Morning: Wake up, one cup of Herbal Tea Concentrate (1tsp for 300ml water); fill a bottle of 1.5l water with 3 tsp Herbal Tea Concentrate and drink it throughout the morning. Take 1 Multivitamin and 1 “Bran & Herbs” (for regular digestive health – don’t know the name of the English version, only the Portuguese one). Drink 1 Herbalife Shake (if Tropical Fruits shake, 26g shake powder + 300ml fat-free mango or pineapple or lemon liquid yoghurt; if Cookies n’ Cream, 26g shake powder + 300ml soy milk).
Mid-morning: either 1 piece of fruit (apple or strawberries) or 1 low-fat yoghurt.
Lunch: 30 min. before lunch, take 1 Multivitamin and 1 Bran & Herbs. Regular healthy lunch (lean protein, veggies, etc.). If hungry, fruit for dessert.
Mid-afternoon snack: either 2 piece of fruit or 1 low-fat yoghurt AND 1 Protein Bar (I workout everyday, and I eat it before working out).
Dinner: 30 min. before lunch, take 1 Multivitamin and 1 Bran & Herbs. 1 Herbalife Shake (same recipes as lunch – normally I drink from one shake in the morning and from the other in the afternoon).
Aside from the 1.5l of Herbal Tea Concentrate, I drink 1.5l of water everyday (and I should drink even more, according to my nutricionist).
I feel good! Sometimes when I come home from the gym I don’t feel like drinking something sweet, so a “savory” shake would be a great idea for me
But oh well, I’m still adjusting! So far so good!

This is normal in the beginning because your body is going through a detox. I got headaches and also broke out with acne at first because my body was detoxing but once that is over you will be so much healthier because of it

Thankfully i lost enough weight in time for my wedding and my dress had to be taken in but, I WOULD NEVER DO IT AGAIN!!! I was starving,it’s dangerous!!!!
Herbalife isn’t dangerous, Herbalife in meerly food, With using the products you get a healthy balanced diet containing all your vitamins and minrals you need! Maybe the way you used the products and over training was which made this so hard.
