7 Day Diet

The Seven Day Diet is a fad that continues to circulate despite being very unbalanced. This diet is a simple 7 day plan that emphasizes a different food group each day. The origin of this diet is unknown.

7 Day Diet Plan


This diet is nothing short of ridiculous and should not even be considered as a viable option for weight loss. It is very unbalanced and very low in calories. AVOID.

Monday
Eat as much fruit (and juices) as you wish of any fruits, except bananas.

Tuesday
Eat all of the vegetables (and vegetable soup) that you wish.

Wednesday
A combination of Monday & Tuesday (i.e. fruit – except bananas, juices, vegetables, vegetable soups).

Thursday
Eat 5 bananas and drink 5 glasses of whole milk. Some versions say 8 bananas and 4 glass of milk.

Friday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each – beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.

Saturday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each – beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.

Sunday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each – beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.

    My day two went well with lots of vegetables. I even had 1 potato. I’ve lost another 1 pound. So, in 2 days I’ve lost 2lbs. I am now starting my 3rd day. I’ve had fruits for breakfast- grapes, grapefruit & strawberries. Today is fruits & vegetables. I am feeling pretty strong and we will see what the rest of day 3 will bring.

    Oct 2, 2008-First day is over lost 1 pound. I ate a lot of fruits. I had at least 8cups of water. When I felt hungry, I would eat more fruits and drink water. I am feeling pretty good. I am now starting my 2nd day of veggies…wow I’ve eaten corn on cob & cabbage for breakfast. I am now snacking on cucumbers. I will be posting tomorrow.

    This time I lost only 2.5 KGs. I am not sure where I went wrong,but I am not including meat in my DIET.This my thrid time.last times I lost 3.5 KGs.I am planning to start the diet next time in next couple of days

    i started this diet today. so far i had soup and fruits… u knoe, the more soup you eat the more you loose… because the soup is a calorie burner..
    i am gonna go to the gym to do a 2 mile jog/walk. wish me luck. hope i dont faint. lol i weight 220 pounds… i wanna loose atleast 40 before i go back to college in a month… wish me luck!

    I’m on day 3 of the cabbage soup diet and I’ve notice my clothes fit a lot better. Tomorrow there’s a lunch reunion at the office. I really hope I can survive. Need a lot of support!

    I am really thinking about giving this a try – it sounds pretty interesting! If I did the 7 day diet one week and then ate salads the next week just to off set it a little do you that would be ok? do the 7 day diet every other week?

    hi guys, just letting you know im onto my last day on this diet and i have lost 3kgs. i have also cheated by eating some chocolate and drinking some coke but i still have lost weight. i think its a good diet and everyone should give it a go but also it doesnt work for everyone. my friend also did it and has not lost any weight but like i said it doesnt work for everyone but i still believe you should give it a go!

    Trying it tomorrow, Im 120lbs and trying to get down to 110lbs (Im very short xD) I just tried to do the grapefruit but I completely binged. So when I saw “EAT AS MANY AS YOU WANT”. I was like wooooooah I gotta try this. Will report back soon :)

    this is my 2nd time on this… lost 8 pounds 1st week so im happy with the results. I’m on day one of seven… will post results! good luck to all doing this diet and for the ones thinking about doing it TRY IT. one thing i did that i think as helped me with the soup is that i blended it and drank it like a v-8. worked better for me that way so if u dont like eating it try blending it til smooth and drink it.

    I am on day 7, I lost only 3 kg’s till now i.e nearly 7lbs. Here a lot of people r saying theyhave lost 10 lbs to 15 lbs. Please let me know what should i eed to do to loose that much.

    This looks like a diet that will give me the boost I need to start loosing weight and then i will follow-up with a vegeterian diet after that. Lots of water and exercise. will let you know how it goes.

    i get severe bouts of gout that last for 7-10 days or more. if i do the 7 day diet with intention of not trying to loose wt but just controlling my gout, will it help? sincerly in pain.

    i am on the 3rd day of this diet, and i have lost a total of 7 pounds. i usually eat veggies every day, so that part was okay. the fruit day is the one that caught me off guard. however, i’m almost there!!!

    Finished the diet and want to go through it again…its really great for detox, didnt eat the steaks though…tried to go back to normal eating but my body was in shock! So i guess I will stick to the diet more, I was more alive than ever lost 5 pounds but I need to excercise more…lets see how this goes again next week.

    Well Im on day 5 now… finally a meat day!!!lol. I have lost 5 pounds so far but i have not cheated once so imma little dissapointed in only 5 lbs gone but im also excited that i lost 5 lol so either way i recommend this diet.. IT DOES WORK!! Results may differ from one to another but it does work.
