The Seven Day Diet is a fad that continues to circulate despite being very unbalanced. This diet is a simple 7 day plan that emphasizes a different food group each day. The origin of this diet is unknown.
This diet is nothing short of ridiculous and should not even be considered as a viable option for weight loss. It is very unbalanced and very low in calories. AVOID.
Monday
Eat as much fruit (and juices) as you wish of any fruits, except bananas.
Tuesday
Eat all of the vegetables (and vegetable soup) that you wish.
Wednesday
A combination of Monday & Tuesday (i.e. fruit - except bananas, juices, vegetables, vegetable soups).
Thursday
Eat 5 bananas and drink 5 glasses of whole milk. Some versions say 8 bananas and 4 glass of milk.
Friday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each - beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.
Saturday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each - beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.
Sunday
Eat 4 steaks of meat (3 ounces each - beef/chicken/fish) with unlimited green vegetables.

I tried this diet and drank kangen water, it is great i lost 10lbs. And going to do it again. Even though i kind of cheated at the end, I still was satisfied with the results!!!!

I tried this diet twice. First time around it worked nicely and I lost almost 6 pounds. Second time around I passed out on the second day from lack of food. If you try this, make sure you’re eating plenty of whatever it is you’re supposed to be eating.

It is all water weight you tools! You gain it back and then some after a week. Heres a Diet that works, no more than 1500 calories a day and run 2 miles or walk 3 miles per day and watch the pounds come off AMAZING!!!

Did this diet and it worked wonderfully. The deal with it is that you have to wait about 2 weeks to do it again if not you will faint the second time around! I have a 3 day chemical break down diet and it also works wonders but always be careful with these fad diets becuase you always have to excercise to see good results.

I too would love to lose 30 pounds by summer end, but honestly this diet sounds like I would be strving myself- I think Jimmy is right- a 1500 calorie per day plus running and walking would do the trick- to mikki- I am curious how you fare on this- I just might try it………

yes, this really works i lost almost 10 poound first time around, i had only watermelon for the first day and i lost almost 2.2 pounds on the end of the first day, this is superb, but try to maintain after also with lots on vegetables, fruits and a balance diet few days a week or you will put on again…… good luck i am day 6 after my second time now and almost lost 8.8 pounds. But my list is bit different.
Day 1 - Veggies (no potato)
Day 2 - Fruits (no banana)
Day 3 - Mix of Day 1 & 2
Day 4 - 6 Bananas + 3 Milk Glasses
Day 5 - 6 Tomatoes and 10oz Beef + 12 Glasses of Water
Day 6 - Veggies and Beef as much as u want
Day 7 - Start with Fruit Juice Morning,Lunch 1cup red rice with veggies and eat as much veggies u want througout the day

28 oz, Water, 6 Large Onions, 2 Green Peppers, Whole Tomatoes (fresh or canned), 1 Head Cabbage, 1 Bunch Celery, 4 Envelopes Lipton Onion Soup Mix, Herbs and Flavouring as desired.
Additional Comments
Vegetables as may be taken in the form of a salad if desired. No dressing except malt, white or wine vinegar, squeezed lemon, garlic, herbs. No more than one tea spoon of oil.
You have been given a recipe for the WONDER SOUP which can be eaten in unlimited quantities. This soup is a supplement while you are on the program and it should be a pleasure to eat. Not everyone likes cabbage, green peppers, calory etc. This recipe is not inflexible. You may substitute vegetables according to your taste. You may add any vegetables you like: asparagus, peas, corn, turnips, green beans, cauliflower, etc. Try to stay away from beans (lima, pinto, kidney, etc.), however, because they tend to be high in calories even though they are very good for you.

When i was 15 I took the 7 day diet and lost 10 pounds in 7days,and i even chested with 1 slice of pizza. this diet worked great for me, im now 21 and since ive gotten married ive only gained weight, i need to put a end to it, at times i feel really bad about how i look and im not happy this way, i have decied to start this diet again tomorrow, it well do wonder. Hope it all works for you guys as it did for me.

I did a similar diet to this and lost 34 pounds in two weeks, but i wouldn’t advise two weeks back to back as it is hard to maintain.
Regarding the nutritional info for the soup - don’t know it, but I do know that Weight Watchers provides a ‘vegetable soup’ receipe similar to this one and it is worth 0 (zero) points on their program.
I loved this diet when I was on it - and yes I did exercise (walked) and it seem to help with energy levels afterwards as I maintained the walking after the 7 days.
I have decided to try this diet I need to loose 20 lbs. So I may have to try it a second time after a 2 week period. I will let you know what happened.
i am in the middle of this diet and i have to admit. i cheated here n there, not with anything major but with lean chicken! This diet offers NOTHING, no variety in food. who the hell can eat vegetables ALL day long. or fruit for that matter. i might as well fast while being on this. and the soup was like water basically. so pretty much you’re living on liquids and fruit/veges for days. OFCOURSE you’d lose weight, but its only water weight. you’d gain it right back. let’s see how it goes.

It may sound like a crazy idea, but what about being happy with the way we are, and treating our bodies well…for example, if we really do want to lose weight, why not exercise-starting with just a little- and then follow a proper, long term diet that keeps weight off, and leaves you feeling fantastic!
Exercise videos can be very cheap, and the great outdoors is just outside the front door! I know that some people are incredibly busy, and think maybe they dont have time for it, but if they’re willing to put they’re bodies through this diet, I’m sure they have the will power just to find ten minutes a day to run up and down the stairs a few times!
We aren’t stupid, so why do we do stupid things to our bodies, that are clearly stated as harmful? And actually, we’re all amazing…there is no one the same as us in the whole wide world, and maybe we just need to realise how special we are…maybe that will put a few extra pounds into perspective!!

I tired this diet 4 months ago, i cheated on day 6 and still lost 5 pounds. Since then i’ve been eating like i usually did and still kept off the weight. The only thing is that you HAVE to eat as MUCH as possible during the diet. Even when you feel full, just keep eating what your aloud that day. The more you eat the more you will loose weight with it. It’s flushing your system, so if you don’t eat, don’t expect any results.

I heard it works. I have some friends who did it without exercising. Also, that when you finish it, you have to watch what you eat. Don’t forget that you worked hard to lose all that weight. I will be starting tomorrow and keep you upgraded.

This works great! I lost two pounds on the first day, and a total of 10 after a week. I was very dizzy my first day, because I usually spend around 2 hours in the gym. If you are very active (like work out in a gym etc.) make sure you eat a lot of whatever you eat. The first time you start feeling tired or like you don’t have energy or whatever, eat more of whatever it is you’re eating so you won’t faint. And guys, get at least 2 cups of black (sugar free) coffee in as it speeds up metabolism, and it’s good to get in some caffeine since you don’t eat much.

I have put on a lot of weight after the birth of my second child. I do know that people advise that this diet is not recommended and that you probably will put all the weight that you lose straight back on again, however I just find the rigid strucure of this diet appealing. I think i might use this diet as a kick start to a more ’sensible’ diet. Perhaps seeing a few pounds coming off in a short space of time might just give me the motivation I need to get rid of this weight. Wish me luck
My husband says this diet works, so i’m on day 1 today and having a serious diet coke withdrawl which doesn’t feel so good. HOWEVER, i will let you know how it goes at the end of the 7 days. We’ll see…..wish me luck!

This diet is stupid. you may aswell not bother eating anything. As long as you keep eating healthy foods and do some excersise you will lose weight. plus you need a little bit of chocolate or sweets coz your blood needs a certain amount of sugar.

I did this diet and exercised also and in 6 days I lost 11 pounds. I did it about 2 months ago and haven’t gained it back. I think the exercise has a lot to do with whether it stays off or not.
Ok so I’m currently workin on this however I have kinda slipped, eating chicken here n there with a some biscuits but I feel that there is definitely some impact. All I can say is be sure to eat other types of food for balance lest you feel sick the first time u eat something other than what’s mentioned.

oh this diet is amazing!! i lost 15 lbs in 7 days!! and i wasn’t ever hungry..and i didn’t excersice AND kind of cheated.. even if you don’t totally stick to the diet you will still lose weight..
this diet doesnt sound very healthy…but i did the 3 day diet and i lost the 10lbs each week like it said the only problem was i gained back half of it. but i still lost 5. which was good. i think im going to try this diet just to see if it helps me lose some weight. im just worried if its going to make me faint. or something.
I’m at the end of day 3 of this diet. Day four is the toughest for me as I don’t like banana’s and milk, but I put them both into my blender to make a kinda milkshake, but nothing extra added. Soup fills you up loads, stuff your face with the veg, fruit, and cant’ wait already for day 5 and 6 with the beef! I feel much lighter already, my stomach has got flatter already. I can’t wait to see the results. I love my food and can’t bear to be hungry but with this diet your never hungy. I’d definitly recommend, but will let you know how much I lost on Tuesday next 12th August 08!
On end of day 5 of the diet. Going well. I felt a little weak today, I think my sugar levels are down! However beef was devine today. I had a fillet steak and grilled the tomoatoes with parsley on top. Was very nice. Looking forward to more beef tomorrow and the rice and fruit on Monday. will let you know the final results when I weight myself on Tuesday morning

Eating LOTS of whatever I’m allowed, not repeating the week back to back, etc.
I’m going shopping tonight. I’m going to buy Strawberries, cantelope, watermelon, bananas(only for the certain day), grapes, peaches, and lots of different green veggies, corn, etc. This way I won’t get bored and I’ll actually be excited to eat all the different stuff! There are lots of natural sugars in fruit, so that should give energy. It sounds very healthy and I will let you all know after a week how it went!! I’m going to measure my gut and weigh myself before and after the diet!! And I always exercise daily and will continue to throughout the week!

I lost 4.5kgs in 7 days. Bout 10 pounds. Apparently the more soup u eat the more u loose. Plus u wont feel dizzy or faint because u are eating all day. Plus all the vegies gives ur body a detox and rids ur body of toxins.

i took this diet and on the fourth day during a performance i passed out. eat as much as possible. after i went on this diet i ended up losing weight, and i just kpt on eating like this for month. i found myself unable to stop myself from eating like this and i am now 5 8 and 80 pounds.

Well Im on day 5 now… finally a meat day!!!lol. I have lost 5 pounds so far but i have not cheated once so imma little dissapointed in only 5 lbs gone but im also excited that i lost 5 lol so either way i recommend this diet.. IT DOES WORK!! Results may differ from one to another but it does work.
Finished the diet and want to go through it again…its really great for detox, didnt eat the steaks though…tried to go back to normal eating but my body was in shock! So i guess I will stick to the diet more, I was more alive than ever lost 5 pounds but I need to excercise more…lets see how this goes again next week.

hi guys, just letting you know im onto my last day on this diet and i have lost 3kgs. i have also cheated by eating some chocolate and drinking some coke but i still have lost weight. i think its a good diet and everyone should give it a go but also it doesnt work for everyone. my friend also did it and has not lost any weight but like i said it doesnt work for everyone but i still believe you should give it a go!

My day two went well with lots of vegetables. I even had 1 potato. I’ve lost another 1 pound. So, in 2 days I’ve lost 2lbs. I am now starting my 3rd day. I’ve had fruits for breakfast- grapes, grapefruit & strawberries. Today is fruits & vegetables. I am feeling pretty strong and we will see what the rest of day 3 will bring.

I lost another 1 pound. So, I’ve lost a total of 2 pounds in 2 days. I had all veggies & cabbage soup on my 2nd day. Still feeling strong. I will be doing my bananas & skim milk tomorrow.
Oct 4th- end of 3rd day.
I lost another 1 pound. So, I’ve lost a total of 3 lbs in 3 days. I feel wonderful! I have started my 4th day of bananas & skim milk. I’ve mixed 3cups of skim milk & added 5 bananas in a blender to make a shake or smoothie…taste pretty good. Also, I had some cabbage as well. So, let’s see what happens. OH TOMORROW-steak & tomatoes. I have my steak thawing out…mmmmmm-can’t wait.

I am on my 5th day. this is the first time I am having chicken(boiled) on this day.till now I lost 1.5 kgs.
I started my diet today, so far so good i have been eating lots of fruit all day. And when I get hungry I drink a glass of water..
I will keep posting to see if i see any results when i am done with the diet.
Oct 6th
end of my 5th day…no weight loss in 2 days…..I lost 3 lbs in 5 days…not too happy. I had a total of 1 tomato & steak, then I had steak & cabbage soup. So, today I started the 3 day diet. Let us see what that brings.
